Moncton Hospital is a Canadian hospital in Moncton, New Brunswick.
TThe Moncton City Hospital has approximately 400 active treatment beds[1] and is affiliated with Dalhousie University Medical School. It is presently home to the Northumberland family medicine residency training program and will soon be a major site for third and fourth year clinical training for medical students in the Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick Program. The hospital also hosts UNB degree programs in nursing and medical x-ray technology and professional internships in fields such as dietetics. Specialized medical services at the hospital include neurosurgery, peripheral and neuro-interventional radiology, vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, orthopedics, trauma, burn unit, medical oncology, neonatal intensive care and adolescent psychiatry. A $48 million expansion to the hospital was completed in 2009 and contains a new laboratory, ambulatory care centre and provincial level 2 trauma centre.[2] The Moncton City Hospital is managed by the Horizon Health Network (Formerly the South East Regional Health Authority). Moncton Hospital operates as a tertiary care referral hospital and specializes in neurosurgery and trauma care services.
